Installing Fedora Core 4 on Node

Start by recording the following items on the Node Details page.


Under installation type choose Custom.

Select the option for Automatically partition.

When asked about which partitions to keep or erase, select the option to Remove all partitions on this system.

When you arrive at the Disk Partioning screen, select VolGroup00 and click the Edit button. Configure the disk to match the following scheme.

Note: After creating the other logical volumes, make the size of LogVol00 (the '/' volume) equal to the remainder of the disk capacity.



Use the default DHCP setting for the intial setup and testing phase of the node setup. This will be changed to the node specific info before shipping the node.

Set the hostname manually to the nodename. Example: densitron.globalnetwatch.com





Select the following packages


After everything is installed, remove the disk from the drive and click the Reboot button.
