Audience: IT Support Staff

When used: Running individual subscriber daily, weekly, monthly reporting, XML reports and old format daily reporting files.

There are times a customer or another team member may require previously ran reports be re-issued due to software failure or for presentation purposes. Below are the steps for regenerating reports by subid as needed. You will need the subid and dates of the reports to be ran before starting.

Daily Rollup Reporting

  1. SSH to the primary server as ‘vwpoint’
  2. At the prompt type the following:

${VIEWPOINT}/tools/multiStatHtml  9263 HE YYYYYYYYYYYY N  05-01-2004 05-01-2004  [sendReportTO@email.com] <ENTER> Multiple email addresses can be added separated by commas.

  3. The script will pause while the data is being pulled from the database and then the output will appear on the screen and return to the prompt once completed.

Weekly Rollup Reporting (and Sprint Sun-Sat reports)

  1. SSH to the primary server as ‘vwpoint’
  2. cd /viewPoint/bin or type 'gnwbin'
  3. At the prompt type the following:

$multiStatHtml  9263 HE YYYYYYYYYYYY N  05-03-2004 05-09-2004  [sendReportTO@email.com] <ENTER> Multiple email addresses can be added separated by commas.

Additionally, the Y or N before the date range indicates whether the report is to include object level details in the reporting.

  4. The script will pause while the data is being pulled from the database and then the output will appear on the screen and return to the prompt once completed.

Monthly Rollup Reporting

  1. SSH to the primary server as ‘vwpoint’
  2. cd /viewPoint/bin or type gnwbin

  3. At the prompt type the following:

$multiStatHtml  9263 HE YYYYYYYYYYYY N  05-01-2004 05-31-2004  [sendReportTO@email.com] <ENTER>  Multiple email addresses can be added separated by commas.

Additionally, the Y or N before the date range indicates whether the report is to include object level details in the reporting.

  4. The script will pause while the data is being pulled from the database and then the output will appear on the screen and return to the prompt once completed.

XML Reporting

  1. SSH to the primary server as ‘vwpoint’
  2. cd /home/vwpoint/viewPoint/tmp
  3. At the prompt type the following:
     Format: ${VIEWPOINT}/tmp/dataDumpXml -s [SUBID] -y YYYY/MM/DD -e "[email address]"
     Example: ${VIEWPOINT}/bin/dataDumpXml -s 2342 -y 2004/05/15 -e "Frank.ward@yellowcorp.com"

If you are just generating the report to place into a customers XML directory use the following format:
     ${VIEWPOINT}/bin/dataDumpXml -s 2342 -y 2004/05/15 -e "" <<<No email address between quotes.
  4. The script will pause while the data is being pulled from the database and then the output will appear on the screen and return to the prompt once completed.

Old Format Daily Stats

Cerner and a few other clients use scripts that are coded to accept the old format for the daily reports. The following steps outline how to recreate those reports if they are missing or fail to run.

  1. SSH to the primary server as ‘vwpoint’
  2. cd /viewPoint/bin or type 'gnwbin'
  3. At the prompt type the following:
     Format: ./dailyStatEmail SUBID MM-DD-YYYY
     Example: ./dailyStatEmail 6148 05-15-2004
This will automatically send the report to all recipients set to receive reports.
  4. The script will pause while the data is being pulled from the database and then the output will appear on the screen and return to the prompt once completed.
